NHAI's FY26 Monetisation Triumph: Major Infrastructure Funding Milestone to be Achieved ?

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is poised for a landmark victory in FY 2025-26, smashing its ambitious Rs 30,000 crore monetisation target well ahead of schedule. By realising over Rs 28,300 crores through innovative Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) and Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) models, NHAI demonstrates masterful execution in unlocking highway asset value for reinvestment.

Key highlights include the award of InvIT Round-5, fetching Rs 6,366.98 crores for two critical National Highway sections in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, boosting regional connectivity. Complementing this, TOT Bundle-18 secured Rs 3,087 crores for a 74.5 km stretch in Odisha, enhancing toll revenue potential and operational efficiency.

This proactive monetisation surge not only de-risks public finances but accelerates India's highway expansion, targeting 50,000 km by 2027. NHAI's success signals investor confidence, paving the way for sustained infra growth amid economic headwinds.
